Hey,

is it currently allowed to take beverages like Mountain Dew from the US back
to Europe in the checked in luggage?

The TSA says...:

"Beverages brought from home or purchased before reaching the security
checkpoint in containers LARGER than 3 oz." 'Checked - OK'

But they don't mention how much in total is allowed...

(I'm thinking about a 12 can box)

You can take as much as you want in checked baggage but be careful
about the total weight of the bag, because some airlines are charging
for excess baggage if the weight is over a certain amount. Check with
the airline you plan to use to see what their weight restrictions are.
